What is Market Systems Accelerator™?
Market Systems Accelerator™(MSA) is a robust online learning platform that provides a professional development course for practitioners and donors. MSA introduces practical concepts on market facilitation and market systems development approaches to drive the growth of inclusive markets which support poverty reduction. Who is the online learning targeted at? MSA is designed to support capacity building of technical and operational team members in field-based development practitioners, project managers at head quarter level, and donor representatives that are involved in market systems, value chain strengthening, making markets work for the poor (M4P), economic growth, and private sector development projects. What materials does MSA comprise of? The MSA course comprises a collection of 20 – 40 minute online modules that explore market systems development strategies and practices. The e-learning platform creates an easy-to-access, robust learning environment. How long does the course take to complete? Over 100 hours of modules and resources can be accessed and completed at times when each topic is most applicable to the learner. Learners do not need to complete the entire course but rather focus on the areas most appropriate to their context and learning needs. Do learners receive certificates on completion? Learners receive a certificate after completing over 15 hrs of course materials. Certificates list the course modules that each learner covered. Where is MSA being used? MSA is being tested and rolled out by several development organizations across the globe. Who manages MSA? The platform is designed and managed by EcoVentures International. |
